How to get to UBC Vancouver campus
The University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus is located at the western tip of the Point Grey Peninsula, about 10km from downtown Vancouver and 15 km from the Vancouver Airport (YVR). Information on public transport can be found on the UBC Vancouver Campus webpage.
From YVR Airport:
- TAXI: It takes approximately 20 minutes and costs about $35-40. When you reach UBC via South West Marine Drive, you’ll need to advise the driver of where you are staying on campus (see accommodations).
- PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: You can also take public transportation from the airport to UBC. You’ll need to take the Canada Line Skytrain heading northbound toward Waterfront station, get off at the Broadway/City Hall Station and transfer to a #99 B-line UBC-bound bus. The final stop is the UBC North Bus Loop and you’ll need to walk from there to your accommodation. You will need a 2-zone bus ticket and you will also need to pay the Canada Line YVR AddFare ($5.00). * You can buy your ticket from a ticket vending machine at the Airport station using cash, debit or credit. Hold on to the ticket for your bus transfer.
Parking on Campus
Parking is available in various locations around the campus and it costs between $8-$14 per day. The closest parking to the conference venue is the West Parkade (2140 Lower Mall). Parking options, including locations and rates, can be found here.
